The Baltic Way, a demonstration of unity in which two million people joined hands to form a chain across the Baltic Sea, turns 35 this year!
To mark the anniversary of this landmark event, 48 airBaltic aircraft will be named after Baltic cities. Each of the three Baltic States – Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia – will be honoured with 16 aircraft.
At the end of the month, airBaltic will announce the final results and the cities after which the aircraft will be named. The citizens of Daugavpils are encouraged to continue to show their support for the city, which will help to boost the city’s chances of winning, thus ensuring that the name of Daugavpils is heard on a wider scale.
This is a unique opportunity for our city to become visible around the world as the name of Daugavpils takes to the skies, launching flights to various destinations.
