Father of Rainis  Krishjanis Pliekshan rented Randene from 1869 till 1972.

House was destroyed during the Second World War. Now at the place of the former house you can see the memorial sign telling that Rainis lived in Randene. Sculptor I. Dobichin is the author of the memorial sign.
