Daugavpils Tourist Information Centre is closed for visitors from 13 March 2020 due to the announced emergency situation in Latvia because of the COVID-19 infection.

After the long winter break, Daugavpils Lead Shot Factory is about to reopen the tourist season from March, 13th. Guided tours at the factory during the spring season will be available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Daugavpils restaurants and cafes welcome everyone to taste special dishes of the VIII Restaurant Decade that is held from 10th to 20th March, 2019. The topic of the Restaurant Decade is “Spring notes”.

Information about the number of visits to the tourist attractions, culture, sports and leisure institutions in Daugavpils reveals that Daugavpils continues to develop as an interesting and diverse tourist destination which is annually visited by thousands of tourists from Latvia and abroad. In 2019, visitors from 58 countries were registered in Daugavpils.

1 March through 13 March Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre will host the ninth International Latgale Graphic Art Symposium with ten artists from ten different countries accepted as its participants.

Daugavpils Fortress Culture & Information Centre from 1st of March will working seven days a week, every day, from 10 am to 7 pm (working hours on pre-holiday and public holidays can be change).

At 4 p.m. on Friday 7 February, the new exhibition season will be opened at Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre as an ode to the graphic medium. The new season’s exhibitions will be available until 12 April 2020.

At 6 p.m. on February 13 the exhibition “Frontiers of shadow and light” from the collection of Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre opens in the National Center for Contemporary Arts of the Republic of Belarus.

At 2 p.m. on Friday 7 February Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre will host a public screening of the documentary “Final Traces of the Abstract Expressionists” and a meeting with the filmmaker, German artist Caro Jost.

This year on 26th January at the Vilnius Exhibition complex “Litexpo” has passed the annual Lithuanian tourism exhibition “Adventur 2020”, bringing together representatives of both the local and foreign tourism industries.
