With the onset of warm weather, Daugavpils offers trips along the Daugava on the boat “Sikspārnis” and the boat “Dina”. During the trip, you will be pleased with the beautiful views of the Daugava and the opportunity to enjoy views of the city from the water. It is also a great way to spend time with family and friends.
Trips with a boat “Sikspārnis” are organised at certain times from the “Restime pier” (Lielā Street 55, from the Grīva side). During the boat trip, passengers have the opportunity to see the Unity Bridge, the outskirts of Daugavpils, the Daugavpils Fortress and be acquainted with the biological diversity of the river. Passengers can have a picnic on the water, taking food or hot drinks with them, and admire the beauty of the Daugava. The name “Sikspārnis” (“Bat”) is given to the boat in honour of bats that live in the territory of the fortress and are one of the symbols of Daugavpils Fortress. The boat “Sikspārnis” is decorated with various woodcarvings, the bat as a symbol, there are shields on one side of the ship, the inscription “I love Daugavpils” is inside, as well as a Viking is depicted in woodcarving.
Maximum number of passengers on the boat “Sikspārnis” is 13. By prior request, you can book boat trips in groups for celebrations, hen and stag parties. Working time: Monday – Saturday: by request. Individual orders are possible – excursions, parties and wedding trips. Price: adults – 8 euro, children (from 4 to 12 years old) – 5 euro, children under 3 – the trip is free. In Daugavpils, you can also take trips along the Daugava on the boat “Dina”. The route starts from the “Centrs pier” (the coast of the Daugava next to the arch, located near the beginning of Rīgas Street). During the boat trip, passengers have the opportunity to see the Unity Bridge, the promenade of Bruģu Street, the Daugavpils Fortress, the protective dam, and the outskirts of the city and admire beautiful views of nature. Those who are interested can take a trip on the “Dina” boat according to the water transport schedule.
Maximum number of passengers on the boat “Dina” is 15, the trip will bring joy to both children and adults. The duration of the trip and the route can be changed depending on wishes of the passengers. Working time: Monday-Friday: 4pm to 8pm or by prior agreement; Saturday/Sunday: 12pm to 8pm or by prior agreement.
